  Product Details

The Skagit Compact G2 is the culmination of thousands of hours of design, observation and field testing.
With a slightly shorter overall length, increased rear taper, and manipulation of material densities, the G2 requires less energy to cast, produces tight and precise loops, and possesses the most stable flight characteristics we've ever seen. Using Zone technology, the back of the head is more buoyant for better tracking and improved mending capability, and the tip features increased density to drive cast on layout, and reduce hinging at the looped connection with the sink tip. The G2 is built on our low stretch PowerCore for unsurpassed sensitivity, and included our newest high-float Super-Dri technology.

Starting with Airflo’s patented polymer, our chemists formulated Super-DRI, a new material

that repels water, dirt, and surface scum better than any material in the history of fly lines.

SENSITIVITY & HOOK SET: With only 6% stretch, our Power Core braid improves casting control, sensitivity and hook set – pretty impressive stuff. However, you’ll be more impressed with the lines incredible suppleness and handling performance even in the harshest of conditions.

The low modules coating maintains its suppleness even in extreme cold conditions. Thus helping to maintain needle sharp loops even on the coldest of days, and reducing memory to zero. This same coating is also used in our Two Hand shooting head range.

The ability to fuse Polyurethane post production led to the development of Micro Loops. Showing no visible signs of a step down, Micro loops blend into the main line giving smooth transition to your leader and protect your fl y line from the effects of capillary action.

The original "PVC Free” Polymer coated fly lines, we at Airflo utilize solvent free Polyurethane as the base material in all our fly lines. We wanted the best possible fly line material available. A coating that would be stronger than our competitors, could resist DEET and ultimately fight off the long term effects of UV.

With some clever engineering, we have been able to subtly change the hardness of the coating in the Zone area to reduce compression, resulting in superior line speed and greater shootability across a wider temperature range.

Our unique permanent line marking system is welded into our factory fitted loops for easy identification on many of our shooting heads and our latest fly lines. Each label clearly shows the lines weight and density
