Featuring fully enclosed frames and Abel’s time-tested external adjustable pawl-click drag, the reels are styled in an "old school” fashion, reminiscent of classic European Spey reels, but with a craftsmanship only possible in a made-in-the-USA version
The Spey, weighing 9.5 ounces, at 1.100-inches wide, is the newest reel is designed for 8- to 10-weight Spey lines. The Abel Spey is machined from 6061-T650 cold finished aerospace-quality aluminum.
