Think you have that perfect Rod and or Reel picked out but just not sure if it’s right for you? You do all the research and make your best educated decisions and yet the rod/reel you choose doesn’t fit your style of casting. We all have been there. Gorge Fly Shop wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and has a plan to help you find that perfect match.

Purchase a Rod and/or Reel from us and included is a 30 day return for full credit towards another Rod and/or Reel guarantee. (Restrictions apply)

Just contact us and ask for an exchange. We recommend speaking directly to one of our GFS Team members and let us help you pick the Rod/Reel that right for you. Everyone here a Gorge Fly Shop is a Fly Fisherman with uncountable years of experience and will be happy to assist you with the exchange process and help guide you to that perfect setup.

Restrictions -


  1. Rod/Reel must be Like New condition with all original packaging and warranty cards.
  2. Exchanges must include a copy of the original sales receipt.
  3. Qualifying rods must be $450 value or higher.
  4. Qualifying reels must be $250 retail value or higher.
  5. Free Shipping only applies to the original purchase. Customer is responsible for the return shipping and shipping of the exchanged product.
  6. Rod / Reel Buy it, Try it program only valid for one exchange per rod/reel purchase.
  7. Only applies to Rods and reels purchase from us at full retail price. Excluded items include Demo’s, Closeouts, Discontinued items Sale items and Used items.

  • If applies, Free Fly Lines are non-exchangeable unless still new in box. You will not receive a second free fly line with an exchange. Free Fly Lines only apply to the Original purchase of a product that includes the Free Fly Line offer. (example) Let’s us say that you purchase a 5 weight rod that included the Free Fly Line with your purchase. Then you wish to return the 5 weight rod for a seven weight rod but you used the 5 weight line. The free line in which you received cannot be exchanged for a 7 weight line. You must purchase the line needed separately. (Simply put, Free Fly lines are non-exchangeable).
