When you need power in a lightweight package, especially to cast bigger fly's, make longer casts and handle bigger fish, this is the new standard by which all 9-weights will be measured. It's a great rod for casting big flies in the wind and will handle most of the larger saltwater species, except for tarpon and our field testers are having so much fun we haven't heard back from them on that one yet.
