This an extremely easy rod to cast for a 16-footer because it's very light in your hand and it's extremely efficient. It will punch out casts well over a hundred feet consistently. It's designed to fish large flies and a long belly 9/10 floating line. It's amazing how much line you can pick off the water with this rod, re-direct cross current and set the mend.
