The House on Metolius
has been a private estate and retreat for over 100 years. The
Metolius River flows through the 220 acre property, composed of meadows and pine forest. The spectacular view of
Mt. Jefferson and
Three Finger Jack are a back drop to rising rainbows and voracious bull trout.
The House can accommodate 26 guests in the 7 lodge rooms and 6 cabins. During the summer and fall there is food service at the lodge, featuring locally sourced ingredients and Oregon wine and beer.
In addition to the great water on the property the House is centrally located for fishing the
upper McKenzie and
Deschutes Rivers as well as the
cascade lakes. There are numerous non-fishing activities in the area such as
horseback riding,
golf,
rafting,
hiking,
birding etc.
