Review: The RX is a good quality, solid reel. I hadnt bought a new reel in quite awhile. I have a good selection of old made in England Orvis reels that I rotate around. Decided to spoil myself with this reel and a Galvan Torque. I prefer the Galvan. Dont get me wrong, I like the Bauer as well. The Bauer had an excellent drag, a nice wood handle, and is a looker. As some other reviewers have mentioned, it is a muted click sound, so you have to like that. The only thing I really had an issue with is that the foot seemed thicker than most. It took a bit of persuasion to get it seated.

Review: Recently purchased this reel and was amazed how smooth it was. It was a nice upgrade from my old Bauer cork-drag reel and the free fly-line was a nice benefit. I decided to purchase my reel here after purchasing a Sage Trout LL rod this summer because of the great service I received at the shop testing different rods. I highly recommend these products, shop, and staff!

Review: My third Bauer RX3 now. Seriously I hope Bauer continues to produce these reels. They have all the bases covered with it. The best reels one can use. Style and quality unsurpassed. Can’t fault GFS care and prompt service. A pleasure doing business with them.

Review: Ultra light because of the extra porting especially on the spool. Although light it has a strong super smooth drag. Maybe best there is. Styling is conservative but beautifully classic.
