The follow-up to 2008's wildly-popular film "Drift," Confluence Films new release "Rise" will once again take viewers on an incredible fly fishing journey around the world. Shot entirely on 16 mm motion picture film, the cinematography and beauty of this film is unlike anything the fly fishing industry has ever seen. The segments and locations include Los Roques, Venezuela, Idaho's Henry's Fork, the Florida Keys, Patagonia, Argentina, New Orleans & Southeast Louisiana, & the Katmai Region of Alaska. Promises to the the finest & potentially best-selling fishing DVD of all time. Just 10 days after we started shipping DRIFT DVD'S by the truckload, we began shooting the next Confluence Films Production. We loaded up the camera's and headed to Venezuela to chase the legendary BONEFISH of Los Roques. Joining us is Millie Paini of Island Park, Idaho and from Steamboat Colorado, photographer/Los Roques veteran, Jason Jagger. They are both great rods and delivered a lot of big bonefish for the cameras. The trip was full of fish on literally every flat we waded and according to the locals this is a slow time for Bonefish, we certainly didn't notice. Millie and Jason both locked into the biggest fish wading a few steps from town. The entire archipelago is stunning, crystal clear water, great people and millions of big, powerful bonefish. Thanks to Chris & Ramon of Sightcast Outfitters for hosting us, it was a top notch experience and a great way to start the next film.
