Made by time served Hardy Bros. reel makers here in Alnwick, England, this Bouglé reel comes presented in a beautiful, UK made, soft leather, sheepskin lined reel case. 

Launched for the reel's 110th birthday in 2013, this Bougle is one ofthe best yet - with its rolling pillar; reversible click check; navalbrass bush and spindle; and its hand polished, deep anodised ‘pearlsilver' finish. This Bouglé reel is sure to become one of the classics.

Review: This is our first Bougle. If you don't have one, they're much more impressive in person than in pictures. It's a well built and beautiful piece of old school engineering. If you like loud reels, this one is great! Based on it's design, you will never have your running line slip through a gap to get stuck somewhere it shouldn't be like some reels. Depending on how you mount it, it takes getting used to to palm drag, as it does not have a palming ring to the outside of the spool. The spool is cont... More details
