Fly Anglers have varied opinions about what the proper layering should be. One thing for sure is slipping into your waders while wearing a pair of jeans is an absolute NO NO! Cotton of any kind for that matter. Anglers have many choices today including Wool and Synthetic materials that will provide warmth, comfort and moisture wicking. For fly anglers layering is not just what you wear under your clothes but also becomes the layer in-between you and your waders. The modern approach to wading under-layers is to appear as pants and not your old long john underwear. So when you find yourself breaking for that burger at the river diner you don't have to feel like you're in your long johns. Layering is a big category for angling. Simms and Gorge Fly Shop takes it very serious. Let us know if you need help deciding what your needs are. 541.386.6977
