GripShooter | Mono Shooting Line with Grip-Handling Section
RIO's GripShooter gives you the best of both worlds. You have the mono body for line speed and distance, yet you have a fly line type of handling section up front for ease of holding on during the cast, especially during the winter steelhead season. One major drawback to standard mono is the when your hands are cold and wet the line can slip through your grip and ruin the cast. Not so with the GripShooter. Never experience "Slippage" again!
This new GripShooter is based on the very popular SlickShooter, but has a thick, coated handling section that makes it very easy to grip in cold conditions. The thin nylon shooting line gives casters maximum distance, is light enough to hold off the water at range and allows anglers great control of their head and fly far out in the swing. A neat 8” welded loop at the front end allows for fast and efficient head changes.
Want mono-level distance without the “slippy spaghetti” feel? RIO GripShooter is an oval monofilament shooting line with a short, coated handling section near the head that gives your fingers traction for better control, fewer tangles, and smoother lifts. It is perfect with Skagit or Scandi heads in real-world wind and wading.
