Gorge Fly Shop, Inc. is located in Oregon which does not have sales tax. It is up to buyers from states with sales tax to claim their purchases in their state of residents.
All orders of $50.00 or more shipped within the continental US, Alaska and Hawaii are shipped for free. There may be extra shipping charges on over-sized items shipped outside the lower 48 US states.
Items shipped UPS Ground or US Postal Priority Service depending on your area, the size of the item and cost.
- All items will be shipped with insurance included in free shipping.
- Delivery time for UPS Ground generally takes 2-6 working days.
- US Postal Priority Mail generally takes 3-8 working days.
We can ship your order via faster methods if you request, you will be charged the additional shipping charges minus the standard shipping cost. Most orders are shipped next business day.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - Customers
Most items are shipped US Postal Priority Mail unless length or weight restrictions will not allow it. Most over-sized items will be shipped US Postal Priority Mail or other surface method, expect delivery in 1-5 weeks or more.

- $0.00 - $49.99 order: standard shipping $44.95
- $50.00 - $299.99 order: standard shipping $24.95
- $300.00 - $499.99 order: standard shipping $14.95
- $500.00 and up order: standard shipping is FREE
- Due to the high cost of shipping wading boots a $10.00 additional shipping charges will be added to every set of wading boots shipped outside the USA. Regardless of order total.
The most reliable and fastest method of shipping is UPS, this is much more expensive. Some items that are to long to ship through the Postal Service may have to be shipped through UPS.
If you want your items shipped UPS we can do that upon your request for an extra charge.
Over sized or heavy items will not be shipped at our discounted standard shipping rate due to the expense. Extra shipping charges will apply so please check with us before ordering.
International shipping time is not guaranteed, some areas may take longer for shipping than others. Shipping time does not always include time spent in customs. Some customs offices are slower than others.
Customer is responsible for any customs or duty fees on merchandise.

Gorge Fly Shop, Inc.will make every effort within reason to ensure that you the customer is 100% satisfied with our service and products. If you are not happy with an item you may return the item in new condition within 30 days for a full refund except for shipping charges. Items covered by a manufacture warranty will need to be sent into that manufacture for warranty claims.
CLOSEOUT PRICING POLICY
Gorge Fly Shop has made a big effort to purchase large lots of closeout items from our vendors. Our margins on these items are very small in return passing these big savings on to our customers. In the case that an item is not sale as quick as we need it to and a price drop follows only purchases made within 7 days of price drop can be price matched. This is once again due to our very small margins on these items. Abuse of this policy will result in a 20% restocking fee on returns and refunds. Example customers threatening to return their item for refund for same item at new price will be charged 20% restocking in addition to the normal refund minus our original shipping cost.
Please understand that we do not price closeouts with a plan to lower the price later, most closeouts sell out long before a price change is needed. Price drops on a closeout item only happen on an item that has not met our sales expectations and needs liquidated to cover our cost. We cannot afford to continue to operate our large closeout section if in these cases customers want us to refund the difference in price on previous purchases.
* Refunds will be made minus our original shipping cost. All merchandise must be returned in their original package unused.
* Fly lines that have been removed from their spool or installed on a reel cannot be returned for a refund.
* Any Free fly lines that have been removed from their spool or installed on a reel cannot be returned, meaning the value of these lines will be deducted from the refund amount. This policy also includes backing that has been installed on a reel, the backing cannot be returned. Mean the value of the backing will be deducted from the refund amount.
* Once a fly line or backing is removed from the original manufactures spool or packaging is considered used and we cannot resale it as new.

Trade up Program
We have a new program. We call it the GFS Trade-Up Program. The gist is that we will take your neglected fly gear off your hands and then give you store credit towards purchasing the gear that you really need. Upon physically reviewing your gear, we can give you an immediate store credit (This is the quickest and easiest option). However, if you feel that your items might fetch more dollars, then we will set your items up for auction on our on-line Ebay store. Once your items sell, your GFS store credit will amount to the sale price minus a 10% service fee. The third option is an outright sale of your items to the shop. We will send you a check, but it should be noted that items considered for outright sale will likely be priced at a lower value.
