Designed to fish either single-hand or spey style, this 5-weight is really sweet when fishing small flies and using up to 350-grain Skagit lines, with floating or sink tips. It casts effortlessly single-hand, but it makes a wonderful light-duty two-hand spey rod. It gives you excellent distance and line control for mending and managing long leaders. If you're looking for a real challenge, try this little beauty for summer-run steelhead when the water is low and clear. It doubles nicely for steelhead and redsides, fishing with small nymphs and strike indicators on the Deschutes and is an excellent choice for those famous "half pounders" on the Rogue or Klamath rivers.
