Product Details

When water temperatures increase and fish become more active, the Super-DRI Switch Float is designed to toss slightly subsurface or surface oriented patterns to summer and fall run fish. This finely tuned taper is built off our extremely popular Rage design and also features improved short casting capability. Loop on a floating PolyLeader and you’ll be "good to go” for some "touch and go” fun in the sun.

After years of splicing, welding, and testing "Franken-Lines”, Airflo has produced the best weight forward switch line on the market. Based loosely on the popular Rage shooting head, the Super-DRI Switch Float has a compact weight-forward head designed specifically to compliment today’s shorter switch rods. The special front taper is capable of casting any leader and fly combination, and is even able to accommodate light sink tips.

The Airflo Switch Float is a complete head and line integrated together and includes a 10' Floating replaceable Polyleader. Just add tippet and fly and your switch rod is ready.

Features -

Starting with Airflo’s patented polymer, our chemists formulated Super-DRI, a new material

that repels water, dirt, and surface scum better than any material in the history of fly lines.

SENSITIVITY & HOOK SET: With only 6% stretch, our Power Core braid improves casting control, sensitivity and hook set – pretty impressive stuff. However, you’ll be more impressed with the lines incredible suppleness and handling performance even in the harshest of conditions.

The ability to fuse Polyurethane post production led to the development of Micro Loops. Showing no visible signs of a step down, Micro loops blend into the main line giving smooth transition to your leader and protect your fl y line from the effects of capillary action.

The original "PVC Free” Polymer coated fly lines, we at Airflo utilize solvent free Polyurethane as the base material in all our fly lines. We wanted the best possible fly line material available. A coating that would be stronger than our competitors, could resist DEET and ultimately fight off the long term effects of UV.

TDC – Total Density Compensation – raises the bar on density control regardless of line type. Controlling the volume and density of each coating, our dual layer PolyFuse XT process creates technically advanced lines with pinpoint accuracy. For true high buoyancy floaters or sinking lines with sink rates you can rely on, look out for the TDC logo.

With some clever engineering, we have been able to subtly change the hardness of the coating in the Zone area to reduce compression, resulting in superior line speed and greater shootability across a wider temperature range.

With higher energy and slight stiffness for longer casts, we use this polymer on most of our long casting lines, like the Forty Plus, the new Ridge Rangefinder, and the Striper lines. All of them benefit from this coating in warmer temperatures thus maintaining distance without any tangles.
