What you need to know when choosing S/A fly Lines...
Sharkwave fly lines are some of the most technically advanced fly lines on the market today. Utilizing textured surface sharkwave lines have less friction which provides longer cast, Higher floating allowing for longer and easier pickups.
Wavelength fly lines are similar to Sharkwave but toned down a bit. They feel much more like standard smooth lines but still have enough textured surface to have some of the same benefits. A new name Wavelength for the 2016 model year replaces "Textured" from previous years. MPX (Mastery Presentation Taper) is in fact what we have always known as the GPX. The Popular Titan taper remains and has many new additions such as intermediate and sinking versions. New for 2016 is the Wavelength Grand Slam, designed for demanding saltwater angling.
Mastery Series lines have been the modern core of S/A's success and includes the infamous original GPX (now renamed to MPX), Trout and Expert Distance We also sees some new additions for 2016 like Andro (a steelhead/salmon line), Titan Smooth for those wanting this great taper in a non textured version, VPT and SBT to name a few.
Sonar is a new name for an entire series of sub surface fly lines. In the Sonar series you will find everything needed to fish streamers for trout to big flies for musky to saltwater for striper to tropical big game. If you need to go sub surface Sonar will get you there!
Frequency fly lines are an economical series of lines that provide anglers with the most common used lines without all the high tech features of premium lines. That doesn't mean they aren't good lines they just lack features such as multi colors and textured surfaces.
