A staple for any two hand angler on both sides of the Atlantic, these 10' leaders make the perfect extension between fly line and tippet when swinging flies for anadromous species. Not only do they help present flies at the correct depth, the also add a significant water anchor to help with casting. Attach tippet of up to 24lbs break strength to complete your leader.

"airflo Polyleaders"

John G on 1/6/2023 4:53:42 PM

Review: No matter if I am fishing with my standard spey or a trout spey, the airflo Polyleaders are my go to leader to finish the set up. They replace a standard tapered mono leader and help load my rods better. The one I use the most is the Intermediate, especially when swinging dries for steelhead, with tension on the line the fly still skates on the surface and if I have a fish boil on the fly but doesn't hook up, I can change the fly and put on a subsurface wet fly and cast again and swing the fly w... More details

"10' vs 14'"

Andrew Skolnick on 10/27/2018 9:45:21 AM

Review: I was using the 14'ers on a 12' rod. The 10'ers are a better fit for the shorter rods in my opinion.

"Great Tips"

Leonardo on 3/7/2016 11:40:32 AM

Review: I have fished Airflo Polyleaders for years without any trouble. They are perfect for spey casting scandi lines. I read the other review and would like to address some of his concerns. First separation, I have seen this happen but it is so minor. nip off the loose material and go on. Polyleaders are nylon line coated with a poly material to build up mass. There has to be a transition point and that can come loose. Minor, trim it and go. Second Breaking, You got to treat the tippet end just like a... More details

"Broken loops and twisted coating"

John B on 9/12/2014 3:39:03 PM

Review: I bought two of the Airflo floating polyleaders. I had issues with the leaders from the start and would probably not use them again. As for the first leader, the coating on the leader began to separate from the core. The coating tended to slide up on the core, giving the leader a very twisted appearance. Not long after that the loop broke. I put on the second leader, the coating on that leader also slid up the core and caused the leader to take on a twisted appearance. The second leader also sep... More details
