"Sweetness!"

on 2/12/2019 1:23:53 PM

Review (Tell us Why?: I love the Airflo Skagit Scout head. I use it on my 4wt and 6wt switch rods. I love the length of the head and the ease of casting it. "not bad"

on 2/7/2019 12:57:10 PM

Review (Tell us Why?: For trout spey work Scout is pretty solid but I prefer the shorter head length of the Scientific Anglers Spey Lite Skagit. Too many times I feel like I'm beyond the trout with Scout. Solid casting but too long!

Review (Tell us Why?: I have loved fishing Commando heads since they came out, and was curious to try Airflo's version of super short skagit. It is excellent, especially on 6-8wt switch rods. It has a lot of weight in the rear which creates a lot of power. I only have 2 complaints: 1. it has a lot of memory in cold weather conditions 2. The loop on the rear is way too big for stripping flies for trout or bass. It gets stuck every cast. So for steelhead/salmon applications I love this line but for trout or active stri... More details
