Review: I honestly cannot believe that I spent more money on a 3 weight short rod than my workhorse 5, but I had the perfect place for this rod to shine, so I pulled the trigger. I couldn’t have been more happy. This is a seriously specialized weapon for spooky fish. It is exceptional at protecting those light tippets. The fast action is a great match for me. And it really helps the purpose of this rod, which is tight quarters casting on smaller waters. Honestly, I think this would also be my go to in "larger” waters when the depths get low. I also can’t say enough about Gorge Fly Shop and the free line deal. That’s is an awesome value and I have now mail ordered 2 rods, the first because it was a short supply rod that few people had in stock and this second rod because their customer service and speed of order filling, on top of the deal with free line, are second to none.
