Review: Billy Pate reels are as close to bullet proof as you can get. The anti-reverse feature keeps my knuckles from being whacked VERY HARD when a large fish decides to run. It is a little heavier than non anti-reverse reels, but it isn't much and the extra little bit of weight is well worth it.

Review: Absolutely love this reel. Paired it with a TFO TiCrX 8wt for an upcoming Everglades trip and it casts like a dream. The anti reverse feature plus the classic beauty make this my new favorite saltwater rig. The people at The Gorge are a pleasure to work with knowledgeable, helpful and did I mention fun?
