You asked and we delivered. The Boost Beach was designed for overhead casting to surf-dwelling species on both coasts. Halibut, perch, stripers and SRCs beware: the Boost Beach allows anglers to hit bigger casts with less effort than ever before. Designed to load at 230 grain lines (6wt), 265 grain lines (7wt), and 300 grains lines (8wt).

Boost Beach Line Recommendations (all sizes) 

Echo line recommendations feature Airflo fly lines that are well matched to this rod. For Echo Boost Beach rods, we recommend using the line size that corresponds with the rod size/weight (6wt rod = 6wt line). Even though it is a two-hand rod, it will line up with standard single-hand fly lines. We have worked with Airflo to develop two lines designed to match up perfectly for these rods.

"Echo Boost Beach 8wt"

Review: tried new rod in some big surf conditions Monterey Bay. Preformed well exited about trying out in normal conditions. i did expect stripping guides to be just a little bigger but does not seem to be an issue. I am using Airflo running line and just under recommended 300 grains of shooting head. The service from the Gorge shop was first rate and I will be using them again in future.
